Michael Roizen, Author of "You on Diet" appeared on "The View". He shared tips to curb hunger and provided a great demonstration of where fat comes from.
I wish Rossy and the other lady would've been more respectfull since Dr Roizen had very important information to share. With all their interruptions He could barely speak.
Wow, defintely inspiring! I watched their special on Discovery Health channel last night and if you haven't seen yet, set your dvr. I need to lose about 100 pounds and I'm starting today! Thanks.
Surely the location of fat is irrelevant, despite what the video say? Surely the contents of fat cells are deposited into the blood stream, rather than diffused to nearby organs. Assuming the former is correct, then it doesn't matter WHERE the fat is, because its contents are either in the blood stream or it isn't.
@suavedave69 For some people, like you, it is true. Not for others. Some do NOT eat crap and are very active. Still, they've had that big belly for decades.
I understand all of this but have a question hopefully someone can answer or point me in right direction. Question is: I am a quadreplegic [injury site at C-5 & 6 vertabrae], up till 2 1/2 yr.'s ago my weight was 175 and now is 247, I'm 6'-0'', have normal cholesterol / blood pressure - etc. but I am not able to do the exercises. Any thoughts or suggestions?
@tikkihut58 Talk to a doctor about this. Do some research. I can imagine this is a concern for many people who are quadreplegics. I think that "mind exercising" can be effective, though. You get into an almost meditative state and very concentrate on imagining yourself working out. Get into detail in your mind. Imagine how it feels, how your body moves, everything. Running: IMagine pumping your arms, propelling urself forward, foot hitting pavement... It works, look it up and good luck.
WEIGHT IS LIKE HEIGHT.....U R SCRWED....5'-7'' PERSON IS NEVER GOING 2 B 6'-7 PERSON......LIKE A 300LBS PERSON IS NEVER GOING 2 BE 140LBS PERSON.. THIS IS ALL BULLPOO.....DIET COMPANIES SPREAD THIS BS 2 GET RICH....

ReplyDeleteTheyre so annoying!!!!
ReplyDeleteAll you need to know is two things:
ReplyDelete1) Stop eating crap, and
2) Exercise 30 minutes every day.
i am reading this book right now and you are right but there is a little bit more to the equation that those two main things you mention.
ReplyDeleteWhat a complete bunch of fucking nonsense!
ReplyDeleteThe bodyfat setpoint theory is correct. We have complex systems.
The extreme detail of counting calories to an accuracy of 100 or less theory is wrong, That is NOT natural behavior.
Look into Stephan from Whole Health Source.
